Goodnews the Clown
Describe "Goodnews the Clown" ? I'll try... He's an entertainer, he's loud, funny, a storyteller, his shows are big on audience participation, big on improvisation. ...It's a scream, it's startling, it's slapstick, It's adlib, it's adventure, it's powerful timeless truth, made NOW, made local, made personal... DID I MENTION LOUD !
"Goodnews" presents those well known stories but tells 'em like you ain't never heard the Bible before, taking his audience to the edge of their seats, on a heart thumping exciting comedy drama performance, with a message of great hope, a fabulous future, & ...a happy here and now ! (we sure need that these days.)
The extreme popularity of Goodnews the Clown has been nothing short of amazing. Goodnews accepts as many shows as possible ( sometimes upto 150 shows a year mostly at Infants/Primary Schools, Kids clubs, etc), but is unfortunately saying "no" to many 100's of shows a year.
Goodnews is very optimistic that God will give him more friends as sponsors & supporters who will empower him to be more available & to help with the huge costs associated with flying these shows at NO CHARGE to the many isolated outback towns of Australia.
Behind the Paint
Garry's theatrical interests started very early with school productions and continued with years of amateur musical comedy theatre, (acting, dancing, singing, producing, directing ), then deciding to go professional in 1980, started clown & puppet shows for children’s parties which led to shows in shopping centres, preschools, schools, social clubs, churches, clubs & local council community event days, appearing on the same bill with many local & national children’s entertainers in front of audiences up to 5000 people.
He mostly performs 'live audience stage work' but also does radio voiceover, TV & movie and compares various events, both as himself or one of his characters or clowns.
He also tries to fit in an itinerant schedule as a positive & challenging guest speaker when possible, at churches, men’s & ladies groups, & marriage seminars & has messages available on CD's.

Booking Goodnews to "Compere & Speak" at your... Christmas Carols, Outreach or Performance Night.... brings a wonderfully wacky...yet Godly softness to your event. Goodnews has a special Christmas costume & props. and brings a relaxed atmosphere, as he encourages the crowd, comperes the carols & delivers the message of Hope.
